(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-sections (/) and (2) of section 47, the Chairperson or a Member, as the case may be, may :- (a) relinquish his office by giving in writing to the appropriate Government a notice of not less than three months; (b) be removed from his office in accordance with the provisions of section 49. (3) A vacancy caused to the office of the Chairperson or any other Member, as the case may be, shall be filled-up within a period of three months from the date on which such vacancy occurs.
