As soon as possible after the admission of a person on admission Orientation in prison, the Welfare Officer shall, -- amb (a) inform him about his rights and duties, and explain to him the institutional rules, regulations, routine, discipline, amenities and facilities; (b)}enquire about his individual problems and help him find a solution; (c) prepare him for a positive adjustment with the institutional environment; and, if the person is a convicted person, ---- (d) study him to assess his personality, background, 1 "needs, aptitudes and capacities; CB : the Od (e) inform him about correctional and rehabilitative facilities available to him and encourage him to make a constructive use of the 1 same; (f) plan a suitable institutional programme for him.
