# Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, Section 229: Conviction on plea of guilty

If the accused pleads guilty, the Judge shall record the plea and may, in his discretion, convict him thereon. 1. Subs. by Act 25 of 2005, s. 21, for "Magistrate" (w.e.f. 23-6-2006). 2.
