Amendment of section 257. 56. In section 257 of the Income-tax Act, for the words and figures "an application made under section 256", the words, letters and figures "an application made against an order made under section 254 before the 1st day of October, 1998 under section 256" shall be substituted with effect from the 1st day of October, 1998. © Copyright.
