Preamble. Whereas it is expedient to amend the Assam Assam Contingency Fund Act, 1950, here- 1950. inafter called the principal Act. Act IX of It is hereby enacted in the Thirtieth Year of the Republic of India as follows :- Short title 1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Contingency Fund (Amendment) Act, 1979. and com- mencement. (2) It shall come into force at once and shall remain valid upto 31st March, 1980. Amendment 2. In the principal Act, in Section 3, of Section 3 of Assam the following proviso shall be added, Act IX of namely :- 1950. "Provided that during the period of operation of the Assam Contingency Fund (Amendment) Act, 1979, a further sum of twenty crores of rupees shall be paid from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Assam into the Contingency Fund".
