Assam Act IX of 1950 It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows :- Short title and commencement. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Contingency Fund (Amendment) Act, 2007. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 20Th day of June 2007, the day on which the Assam Contingency Fund (Amendment) Ordinance, 2007 came into force and shall remain in force upto the 3151 day of March, 2008. Amendment of section 3 of Assam Act IX of 1950. 2. In the principal Act, in section 3, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely :- "Provided that during the period of operation of the Assam Contingency Fund (Amendment) Act, 2007 a further sum of two hundred crore of rupees shall be paid from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Assam into the Contingency Fund".
Repeal and saving 3.(1) The Assam Contingency Fund (Amendment) Ordinance, 2007 is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Ordinance so repealed shall be deemed to have been done or taken under this Act as if this Act came into force on the 20th day of June, 2007.
