THE ASSAM LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY MEMBERS' SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1979 An Act further to amend the Assam Legislative Assembly Members' Salaries and Allowances Act, 1958. Preamble. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Legislative Assembly Members' Salaries and Allowances Act, 1958, hereinafter called the prin- cipal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Thirtieth Year of the Republic of India as follows : Short title 1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam and com- Legislative Assembly Members' Salaries and Allowan- mencement. ces (Amendment) Act, 1979. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the first day of April, 1978. Amendment 2.
