Preamble

ASSAM ACT XX OF 1947 THE ASSAM LOCAL RATES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1947 (Passed by the Assembly) (Received the assent of the Governor on the 12th December, 1947) [Published in the Assam. Gazette of the 17th December, 1947] An Act further to amend the Assam Local Rates Regulation, 1879 WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Assam Regulation Local Rates Regulation, 1879, hereinafter called the said 3 of 1879. Regulation, in the manner hereinafter appearing ; It is hereby enacted as follows :-. Short title. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Local Rates (Amendment) Act, 1947.
