Preamble Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Assam Panchayat Act, 1994, hereinafter referred to as the Act principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing, 1994 Short title, extent and commence- ment It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows :-
