534 THE ASSAM GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, MAY 1, 1972 ASSAM ACT XV OF 1972 (Received the assent of the Governor on the 26th April, 1972) THE DIBRUGARH UNIVERSITY (SECOND AMENDMENT) ACT, 1972 [Published in the Assam Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 1st May, 1972] An Act to amend the Dibrugarh University (Amendment)] Act, 1967 Preamble. Whereas it is expedient to amend the Dibrugarh Assam Act University (Amendment) Act, 1967, hereinafter called VII of the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appear- 1971- ing ; It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows :- Short title 1. (1) This Act may be called the Dibrugarh and commen- University (Second Amendment) Act, 1972. cement. Section shall be substituted Act, ford (2) It shall come into force at once. Amendment of section 1 of Assam (3), the following shall be substituted, namely :- Act VII of 1971. "(3) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 25th March, 1971."
