An Act to amend the Gauhati Municipal Corpo- Assam Act 1 ration Act, 1969 (Assam Act I of 1973). of 1973. Whereas it is expedient to amend the Gau- hati Municipal Corporation. Act, 1969 herein- after called the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing ; It is hereby enacted in the Thirty-fourth Year of the Republic of India, as follows :- Short title, extent and commence- uent.
