An Act further to amend the Gauhati University Act, 1947. Preamble. Whereas it is expedient further to XVI of 1947. Assam Act amend the Gauhati University Act, 1947, hereinafter called the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing ; It is hereby enacted in the Twenty- ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows :--- Short title and co- mmencement.
