Preamble

THE HOOGHLY RIVER BRIDGES ACT, 1968 President's Act No. 32 of 1968 [28th November, 1968.] Enacted by the President in the Nineteenth Year of the Republic of India. An Act to provide for the construction, maintenance and control of bridges across the river Hooghly within the port of Calcutta. 6 of 1968. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the West Bengal State Legislature (Delegation of Powers) Act, 1968, the President is pleased to enact as follows :-
