INDIAN TOLLS (AMENDMENT) ACT ASSAM ACT ASSAM ACT III OF 1931 THE INDIAN TOLLS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1931* [Published in the Assam Gazette of the 27th January 1932)" An Act to amend the Indian Tolls Act, 1851 WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Indian Act VIII of Tolls Act, 1851, in the manner hereinafter appearing ; 1851. It is hereby enacted as follows :-

It is hereby enacted as follows :- 1. This Act may be called the Indian Tolls (Amendment) Act, 1931. Short title. Local extent. 2. It shall extend to the whole of Assam. In section for whole of Assam Amendment 3. In section 4 of the Indian Tolls Act 1851, for Act VIII of 1851. of seetion 4, the words- Act VIII of 1851. " but no other exemption from payment of the tolls levied under this Act shall be allowed"; there shall be substituted the words " or of any person or property exempted by order of the [State Government]\ from payment of tolls ".
