Short title and commencement .- (1) This Act may be called the Manipur Liquor Prohibition (Amendment) Act, 2002.
(2) . It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, appoint. 2. Amendment of section 1 :- In sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Maniper Liquor Prohibition Act, 1991, the following provisos shall be added, namely :_ Scanned by CamScanner "Provided that the State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, withdraw this Act from any area of the State of Manipur in which it is for the time being in force: Provided further that when this Act is withdrawn from an area, anything done or any action taken before the withdrawal of this Act shall be deemed to have been done or taken under this Act as if this Act has not been withdrawn from such an area."
