What this Act covers
Summarizing the "Moorshedabad Act, 1891"
Handling of Deceased Sailors' Estates under Relevant Provisions (General Information)
Given the lack of direct context, the response is inferred from The Navy Act, 1957 (provided), focusing on estate handling, which might be relevant to deceased sailors:
1. Powers of Central Government: - Section 175, The Navy Act, 1957: Empowers the Central Government to hand over the estate of deceased persons to the Administrator-General. This implies that for deceased sailors, the Central Government, through the Administrator-General, would manage the estate.
2. Disposal of Property: - Section 172, The Navy Act, 1957: Though not fully provided, the context around sections 171-179 suggests a structured approach to handling debts and property. For deceased sailors, this would involve the settlement of ship/service debts and the disposal of property according to naval regulations.
3. Rights of Representatives: - Section 179, The Navy Act, 1957: Saves the rights of the representative of the deceased, ensuring that the legal heirs or representatives have rights that are protected under the law.
