NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 25th February, 2011

GS.R. 110(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 29A read with sub-section (3) 7 I 6 G I / 2 0 I I (1 ) of section 9 of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, (38 of 1949), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006, namely:—

1. (1) These rules may be called the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Counci I) (Amendment) Rules,

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006, in clause 7, the second proviso shall be omitted.

Note : The Principal rules were published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, the 5th September, 2006 and subsequently amended vide

GS.R. 553(E), dated the 23rd July, 2008.

(3) of section 9 oflhe Company Secretaries Act, 1980 (56 of 1980), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Company Secretaries (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006, namely:—

1. (1) These rules may be called the Company Secretaries (Election to the Council) (Amendment) Rules,

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Company Secretaries (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006, in clause 7, the second proviso shall be omitted.

(3) of section 9 of the Cost and Works Accountants Act, 1959 (23 of 1959), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Cost and Works Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006, namely:—

1. (1) These rules maybe called the Cost and Works Accountants (Election to the Council) (Amendment) Rules,

(2) They shal I come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Cost and Works Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006, in clause 7, the second proviso shall be omitted.
