NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 18th August, 2017

G.S.R. 1035(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the All India Service Act, 1951 (61 of 1951), read with sub-rules (1) and (2) of Rule 4 of Indian Forest Service (Cadre) Rules, 1966, the Central Government in consultation with the Government of Sikkim hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Indian Forest Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1966, namely:—

1. (i) These regulations shall be called the Indian Forest Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Sixth Amendment Regulations, 2017.

(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Indian Forest Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1966, in the Schedule, for the heading "Sikkim" and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely :— “SIKKIM

Note 1 : Prior to the issue of this Notification, the total Authorized Strength of the IFS cadre of Sikkim was 30. Note 2: The Principal regulations were notified vide notification No.6/1/66-AIS (IV), dated 31-10-1966 vide G.S.R. G.S.R. 1036(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951) the Central Government, in consultation with the Government of Sikkim hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Forest Service (Pay) Rules, 2016 namely:-

1. (i) These rules shall be called the Indian Forest Service (Pay) Sixth Amendment Rules, 2017.

(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette

2. In the Indian Forest Service (Pay) Rules, 2016:-

(a) In Schedule II-A Posts carrying pay above the Time Scale in the Indian Forest Service under the State Governments, in the Table, for the entry “Sikkim” appearing in the first column and the corresponding entry in the second column, the following shall be substituted, namely:- “Sikkim

1. Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF) Level 17 in the Pay Matrix

2. Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Level 15 in the Pay Matrix

3. Chief Conservator of Forests Level 14 in the Pay Matrix

4. Conservator of Forests (Territorial) Level 13A in the Pay Matrix

5. Conservator of Forests (Soil Conservation) Level 13A in the Pay Matrix

6. Conservator of Forests (Research and Development) Level 13A in the Pay Matrix 7 Conservator of Forests ( Wildlife) Level 13A in the Pay Matrix

8. Field Director (KNP) Level 13A in the Pay Matrix

(b) In Schedule-II B, Posts carrying pay in the Senior Scale of the Indian Forest Service under the State Governments including posts carrying special pay in addition to pay in the Time Scale for the entry Sikkim, the following shall be substituted, namely:—

1. Deputy Conservator of Forests (Territorial) East, West, North, South

2. Deputy Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) North East

3. Deputy Conservator of Forests (Working Plan)

4. Deputy Conservator of Forests (Soil Conservation)

5. Technical Assistant to the CCF & Deputy Conservator of Forests [F. No. 16016/07/2016 - AIS-II (B)] RAJESH KUMAR YADAV, Under Secy.
