No.-644/966/viii-Trans./2014.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub­ section(l)of Section 200 of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 (No. 59 of 1988), the State Government, hereby, makes the following amendment in the department's notific;ation R-966/ I

AMENDMENT

In Schedule of the said notification, -

1. For entry (d) in column (2) of serial number 1 and entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely :- "( d) Violation of Section 129 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and rule 213 of the Chliattisgarh Motoryan Niyam, 1994;

regarding without wearing protective head gear by the driver and pillion rider in the motor cycle.

2. This amendment shall remain into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette till 31-10-2016.

No. F-5-8/VJI!-Trans./2016. - The following draft amendment in the Chhat1.isgar)1 Motor Vehicles Rules, 1994 which the State Government in exercising the power conferred by sections 79 of the Mot,:, Vehicles Act, 1988 (No. 59 of 1988) proposes to make, is hereby published as required by sub-section (I) of

Section 212, of the said Act, for the information of all persons likely to be .affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken in to consideration after the expiry of thirty days from the date of publication of this notice in the Official Gazette.

Any objection or suggestions regarding the said draft received from any person before the specified period, in office hours by the Transport Commissioner Office, Third Floor, Third C-Block; Indrawati Bhawan, Naya Ra,ipur, C.G. shall be considered by the Government ofChhattishgarh.

DRAFT AMENDMENT

In the said rules,- After condition (Three) of sub rule (5) of rule-77 th~ following shall be .added, namely:- (Four) For goods vehicles other than tb.rise cover with National Permit under rules 86 and 88 of Central Motor Vehicle Rule 1989, the age of goods vehicle for issuance of temporary or pennanent permit for operation within the state shall not be more t}:ian 15 years from the date of initial registration. And, all permits other than national permits issued to goods vehicles before the publication of this notification2 shall be deemed to be invalid from 0 1~08-2017 for vehicles which have completed 15 years of age before 01-08-2017 and from the date of completion of 15 years of age for other vehicles unless such vehicle has been replaced by a vehicle of proper age as mentioned in the provision of this notification. ····· - · ~~~~cm~ ~' ~. ~ 6 ~ 2016 - ~ 17, Wfi" 1938 ~~,W-TT ~l=JR~.

No F 5-2/viii-Trans/2016.-Whereas, the facilities for the issue of Motor Driving License in digital Form-7 is available in all the District Transport Offices in the State :- . And whereas, the State Government has decided that for public convenience, each driving license to be issued in the State of Chhattisgarh shall be issued in digital Fonn-7 in place of Form-6 or non-digital plastic cards;

Now therefore, in accordance with sub-rule (2) and (3) of rule 16 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules. 1989, the State Government, hereby makes it compulsory by this order, -

(a) to issue driving license in digital Fonn-7 in place of driving license issued in Form-6 and non-digital Fonn-7.

(b) that holder of the driving license in F orm-6 and non-digital Form-7 shall be able to convert their license in concerned District Transport Office till 30-

(c) for issue and re-issue of each driving license in Form-7 a fee of Rs. 150/~ shall be payable; and ( d) that the driving license previously issued in F onn-6 and non-digital F onn-7 shall be deemed to be invalid after 30-06-2016.

This order shall come into force with immediate effect.
