NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 26th July, 20 13 S,O. 2309(E).-!n exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (I) of Section 18 of the Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002 (J 5 of 2003) (hereinafter referred 10 as the Act), the Central Government hereby authorizes Officers not below the rank of Assistant Directors in [he Directorate of Enforcement to exercise the power to search persons and to seize such record or property which may be useful for or relevant to proceedings under the Act:

Provided that the personal search shall be exercised only during the course of search and seizure operations under Section J 7 of the Act and subject to rhe limitations and safeguards provided under Section 18 of the siad Act.
