NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 15th January, 1996
S.O. 44(E).-Whereas the draft of certain rules further to amend the Coir Industry Rules, 1954, was published as required by Sub-section (1) of Section 26 of the Coir Industry Act, 1953 (45 of 1953) under the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Industry (Department of Small Scale Industries and Agro and Rural Industries) No. S. O. 784(E) dated the 14th September, 1995, in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part lI, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) dated the 14th September, 1995, inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby within a period of 45 days from the date of the publication of the said Notification in the Official Gazette. And whereas no objection or suggestion was received from the public on the said draft, within the said period; Now, therefore, inexercise ofthe powers conferred by Sub-section (I) of Section 26 of the said Act, the Central Govern ment hereby makes the following rules, namely:-
RULES
1. These rules may be called the Coir Industry (Amendment) Rules, 1996.
2. In the Coir Industry Rules, 1954, in rule 4, in sub-rule (1), in category (g), for the figure "6", the figures" 10" shall be substituted.
