The 7th October, 1994 No. 13817/Legis.—The following Act of the Orissa Legislative Assembly having been assented to by the Governor on the 5th October, 1v94 is hereby published for general information.
ORISSA ACT 18 OF 1994
THE ORISSA STATE COMMISSION FOR BACKWARD CLASSES
(AMENDMENT) ACT, 1994 AN ACT TO AMEND THE ORI5SA STATE COMMISSION FOR BACKWARD CLASSES ACT, 1993. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Forty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows : — Short title.
1. This Act may be called the Orissa State Commission for Backward Classes (Amendment) Act, 1994.
Amendment 2. In section 3 of the Orissa State Commission for Backward Classes Act, 1993 of seciicn 3. (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in sub-section (2), for clan (d) the following clause shall be substituted, na,nzly — "(d) a Member-Secretary, who is or has been an officer of the State Government not below the rank of a Joint Secretary to the Govern- ment of Oris a.".

3. In section 13 of the princip,11 Act,— ti) in 'lib-section ( I ) the word and comma "in consultation with the Accountant-General, Ori sa" appearing at the end shall be omitted;
(ii) for sub-section (2), the following sub-section shall b= substituted, namely "(2) The accounts of the Commission shall be subject to audit under the Orissa Local Fund Audit Act, 1948."; and
(iii) sub-section (3) shall be deleted.
