NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 7th January, 2019 S.O . 83(E).—In pursuance of article 239 of the Constitution, the President hereby directs that, subject to his control and until further orders, the powers of the Government under section 32 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016) shall, in relation to the Union territories specified in the Schedule appended to this order, be exercised also by the Lieutenant Governor or Administrator, as the case may be, of the respective Union territory.

SCHEDULE

(1) Union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands;

(2) Union territory of Chandigarh;

(3) Union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli;

(4) Union territory of Daman and Diu;

(5) Union territory of National Capital Territory of Delhi;

(6) Union territory of Lakshadweep; and

(7) Union territory of Puducherry.
