Where the Chief Municipal Executive officer/Municipal Executive Officer is of the opinion that any burning place or burial ground or place for the disposal of the dead has become offensive or dangerous to the health of persons residing in the neighbourhood or for any other reasons to be recorded in writing, he may, with the previous approval of the Empowered Standing Committee, and by notice in writing require the owner or the person in charge of such burning place or burial ground or place for the disposal of the dead, to close such burning place or burial ground or place for the disposal of the dead from such date as may be specified in the notice. Power to require closing of burning and burial ground etc.
