Section 1 of the Bihar Lokayukta Act, 2011 deals with short title and commencement. This Act may be called the Bihar Lokayukta Act, 2011.

(1) This Act may be called the Bihar Lokayukta Act, 2011. n's (2) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Bihar.

(3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint, which shall not exceed thirty days from the date the Governor has given assent.
