The Forms given in the appendices, with such variation as the circumstances or each case may require, shall be used for the purposes therein mentioned.
How this Rule is cited
It is written both ways, and both mean this Rule: Order XLVIII Rule 3 CPC and Order 48 Rule 3 CPC. Pleadings usually take the arabic form, judgments usually the numeral.
