Section 1 of the Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Highways Act, 1974 deals with short title, extent and commencement. This Act may be called the [Dadra and Nagar Haveli and] Daman and Diu Highways Act, 1973.

(1) This Act may be called the 2[Dadra and Nagar Haveli and] Daman and Diu Highways Act, 1973.

(2) It extends to the whole of the Union territory of 3[Dadra and Nagar Haveli and] Daman and Diu.

(3) 4[It shall come in to force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.]
