Questions about Section 1

What does Section 1 of the Finance Act deal with?

Section 1 of the Finance Act is headed "Short title and commencement". *FINANCE ACT, [12 OF 2020] An Act to give effect to the financial proposals of the Central Government for the financial year 2020-21.

How do I find court cases under Section 1 of the Finance Act?

In judgments and charge sheets this section is written several ways, and each form finds a different set of orders. These search the full text of every order eCourtsIndia holds, best matches first: Finance Act 2020 1, section 1 Finance Act 2020, section 1 of the Finance Act. Each opens the full list of orders on eCourtsIndia, where it can be narrowed by court, year and outcome.

What should I read with Section 1 of the Finance Act, and has it changed?

Its own text turns on section 2 (Income-tax), section 104 (Amendment of Section 288), section 118 (Amendment of Section 2), section 131 (Amendment to Schedule II), and on 1 further provision, so none of them can safely be read on its own. 1 other provision in this corpus refers back to it.
