Section 5 of the Goalpara Tenancy (Amendment) Act, 1936. The word "shall" in the sub-clause (ii) of the second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 57 of the principal Act shall be replaced by the word ' may ' and in the same sub-clause the words "at the rate mentioned in section " shall be replaced by the words "at the rate the Court may direct".
