Power of Central Government to issue directions
Section 48 of the Marine Aids to Navigation Act, 2021 deals with power of Central Government to issue directions. Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the Director General shall, in the discharge of his functions and duties under this Act, be bound by such directions on questions of policy as the Central Government may give to him in writing from time to time. The Act came into force on 31 Mar 2022.
