0.F.3(3)/F&S/P&C/2020/1481-95.- The following otification .0.1087 (E) dated the 13 th March 2020 issued by Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, section 3-sub-section (ii) is hereby republished for general information.

OTIFICATIO

ew Delhi, the 13th March, 2020 .O.1087( )._In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 2A, of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order, to regulate the production, quality, distribution, logistics of masks (2ply & 3ply surgical masks 95 masks) & hand sanitizers (for COVill 19 management) namely :-

1. (1) This order may be called the Essential Commodities Order, 2020.

(2) It hall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, in the Schedule, after serial o. (7) the following item shall b added, namely:- "(8) masks (2ply & 3ply surgical masks, 95 masks) & hand sanitizers".

3. This otification shall remain in force for a period up to 30th June, 2020 from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. ' opy forwarded to the following for information and necessary action:-
