NOTIFICATION

NO: DPAR 62 SDE 2014, Bengaluru, dated: 03.10.2017 Whereas the draft of the Karnataka Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) (Amendment) Rules, 2017, was published as required by clause (a) of sub section (2) Section 3 read with Section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 ( Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) in Notification No. DPAR 62 SDE 2014, dated 04th February 2017 in part IV A No:143 of the Karnataka Gazette Extra –ordinary dated: 4th February 2017 inviting objections and Suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby within fifteen days from the date of publication of the draft in the Official Gazette.

Whereas, the said Gazette was made available to the public on 4th February, 2017; And whereas no objections and suggestions have been received in this behalf by the State Government.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 read with

Section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) the Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules, namely;

RULES

1. Title and commencement:- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) (Amendment) Rules, 2014.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the official Gazette.

2. Amendment of Schedule II:- In the Karnataka Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1957, in Schedule II, under the heading “DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT”, under the sub-heading “Plot Project Officer(Industries) for the entries relating to the cadres of “Grama Panchayat Secretaries and Rural Development Assistants(Grade-I) and (Grade-II)”, the following shall be substituted, namely:- Class of Posts Authority empowered to appoint Authority empowered to impose penalties and penalties which he may impose Appellate Authority Authority Penalties Grama Panchayat Secretary and Rural Development Assistant (Grade-I) Deputy Secretary (Development), Zilla Panchayat Executive Officer, Taluka Panchayat

(ii) to (iva) Deputy Secretary (Development), Zilla Panchayat Deputy Secretary (Development), Zilla Panchayat
