Power to remove difficulties

Section 17 of the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Act, 1972 deals with power to remove difficulties. If any difficulty arises in giving effect to the provisions of this Act or by reason of anything contained in this Act the State Government may, as occasion requires, by notification in the Gazette, make such incidental or consequential provisions, including provisions for adapting or modifying any The Act came into force on 17 Aug 1972.

(2) No order under sub-section (1) shall be made after the expiration of the period of two years from the date of commencement of the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education (Amendment) Act, 2000.]¹

(3) Every order made under sub-section (1) shall be laid, as soon as may be before both the Houses of the State Legislature.
