Consequences of suspension of rent
Section 159 of Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code-2006 deals with consequences of suspension of rent. the period during which such suspension continues shall be excluded in computing the period of limitation allowed for a suit for recovery of the rent, and (b) no suit or application shall lie, for the period of such suspension, for its recovery. The Act was enacted on 11 Feb 2016.
159. Where the payment of any rent has been suspended under section 157,–
(a) the period during which such suspension continues shall be excluded in computing the period of limitation allowed for a suit for recovery of the rent, and
(b) no suit or application shall lie, for the period of such suspension, for its recovery.
