Section 44 of the Vidarbha Irrigation Development Corporation Act, 1997 deals with depreciation fund. The Corporation may make provision for depreciation fund at such rates and on such terms as may be specified by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, and in consultation with the State Government. The Act was enacted on 28 Apr 1997.

(1) The Corporation may make provision for depreciation fund at such rates and on such terms as may be specified by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, and in consultation with the State Government.

(2) The net profit for the purpose of section 42 shall be determined after such provision has been made.
