Short title, extent and commencement
Section 1 of the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007 deals with short title, extent and commencement. This Act may be called the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007. The Act came into force on 25 Oct 2010.
(1) This Act may be called the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007.
(2) It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir*.
(3) It shall come into force on such date 1 as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
