Section 22 of the Assam Municipal Corporation Act, 2022 deals with first meeting of the Corporation. The first meeting of the Corporation after the general election of Councillors to the Corporation shall be convened within 30 days from the date of publication of the names of elected Councillors to the Municipal Corporation in the Official Gazette under the provisions of this Act.

(2) Seven days notice shall be given for the meeting.

(3) In the case of a Municipal Corporation, the meeting shall be convened by the Secretary to the State Government, Department of Housing and Urban Affairs or any officer not below the rank of a Deputy Secretary to the State Government duly authorized by him.
