Research - (1) Subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, research programme in the University shall carry on research (fundamental as well as applied) on the problems of Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Technology, Fisheries and other allied sciences for the purpose of aiding the development of these branches for the benefit of rural population in the State.
(2) The University through its research organization shall be the principal agency of control over research activities in Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Technology, Fisheries and other allied branches in the State.
(3) The existing research organization (As per schedule-i) and experimental station and farms along with the facilities and budget in the field of Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Technology, Fisheries and allied branches in the Government Departments shall be transferred to the University with effect from such date as the Government may notify.
(4) The University may establish Regional / Zonal Research Stations and Sub-stations in the different agro-climatic zones of the State for the conduct of research.
