' ')I MMISlRY OF FINANCE @cpartmcnt of Revenue) GS.d. 9 0 5 ( E ) . ~ I n exercise of the powcrs conferred by sub-clause(vii) of clause (a) of sub-section (1) of Section 9 read with Sections 4 and 76 of tlic Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (61 ol' 1985), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules furtherto amend theNarcotic Drugs and Psychotrop~c Substances Rules. 1985, namely :-

1. ( I ) These rules may be called theNarcotic Drugs and l~sychotropic Substances (Amcnd~nent)Rules, 20 1 I.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Rulcs, 1985,-

(a) In rule 67 A- (A) in sub-rule(a), after clause (iii), the followingclausc shall be insencd, namely :~ "(iv) the purpose of restraining or immobilising wild animals by or underthe authority of the Govern- ment and approved by that Government.";

(D) in sub-rule(b), after the words "persons performing medical or scientific functions" the words "or the authority exercising thc powers under sub-clause (iv) of clause (a)" shall be inserted.

(b) In Form 7,- (A) For item I, the following item shall be substituted, namcly :-- "I. Name of laboratorylresearch institutionlhospitalidispensaryipersonlautliority"; (B) For item 5, the following item shall be substituted, namely :- "5. Quantity obtainedlpurchased".
