CRPC 158 Report how submitted Text carried over almost unchanged 100%
Measured by comparing the text of the two provisions, not taken from an official correspondence table — there is no machine-readable one. See both texts side by side before relying on it.
Both regimes are live. The repealed enactment still governs what happened while it was in force. We never redirect one to the other.

Ranjeet Yadav @ Ranjeet Singh vs State of U.p.
Decided under Code of Criminal Procedure 158, which this section replaces. The court did not have this Act before it.
Court's Decision & Legal Precedent
Procedural irregularities and errors in government affidavits regarding chargesheet filing dates, while warranting judicial caution and criticism of the concerned officer, do not necessarily constitute sufficient grounds to quash an FIR if the substantive criminal charges remain valid and the chargesheet has been properly filed before the competent court. The appropriate remedy for challenging the chargesheet lies in the trial court proceedings rather than through writ petition for quashing the FIR.
