Inconsistency in laws
Section 173 of the Electricity Act, 2003 deals with inconsistency in laws. Nothing contained in this Act or any rule or regulation made thereunder or any instrument having effect by virtue of this Act, rule or regulation shall have effect in so far as it is inconsistent with any other provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 (68 of 1986) or the Atomic Energy Act, 19 The Act came into force on 10 Jun 2003.
